- Preferred Specimen: Red-top vacutainer or other tube without additives or separators.
- NOTE for Hub Sites: EDTA and Lithium Heparin additives should not be rejected. If the sample arrives in an unspun separator tube, transfer it to a plain tube with no separator before centrifugation.
