This test can be done on Pericardial Fluid, Peritoneal Fluid, and Pleural Fluid.  Any other fluid type must be sent to a reference laboratory.
  • For LD on CSF send to SQL Cerner code LDSF - Lactate Dehydrogenase LD, CSF. 
  • For LD on Synovial fluid order ESOT to ARUP Test code 0020505 - Lactate Dehyrogenase Total, Body Fluid.
