If a Gram Stain is desired, order Gram Stain Smear.

Instructions
  • Collect specimen from suspected sites per physician’s orders using an eSwab transport system.
  • Return swab to the included sterile tube.
  • Label container with two patient identifiers (full name, DOB or MR), specimen source, and date and time of collection.
  • Maintain sterility and forward promptly.
