Instructions

Collect specimen using Universal Viral Transport Kit.

Insert a flocked swab containing a dry tip into 1 nostril and into the nasopharyngeal area.
Press swab gently against the nasal wall to allow swab to absorb secretions.
Rotate swab 2 to 3 times and withdraw.
Place swab into a Universal viral transport media.
Break off shaft of swab and cap tube.
Label container with two patient identifiers (full name, DOB or MR) and date and time of collection.
Maintain sterility and forward promptly.
