Preferred Specimen
Collect sample using pinworm paddle kit.


Instructions
Collect early in the morning just prior to morning routine using a pinworm paddle kit. Write the patient's name with a pencil on the paddle or the frosted end of the slide.
 


Transport Temperature
Ambient / Room Temperature if specimen is to be received in 24 hours.
Refrigerated is specimen will be delayed longer than 24 hours.


Specimen Stability
Ambient: Send to Lab ASAP (24 hours)
Refrigerated: Refrigeration is acceptable if specimen will be delayed longer than 24 hours. Acceptable up to 72 hours.
Frozen: DO NOT freeze
