Out-patient: 1 mL serum from SST

1 mL serum from Serum Gel or Red Top


Instructions
  • If there is a delay in transport of >8 hours, send specimen frozen in plastic vial.
  • The diagnostic PSA test is to be ordered when the patient has signs or symptoms of disease. Include all the relevant narrative diagnosis for medical necessity requirements.
