Preferred Specimen
1.5 mL plasma from light green (lithium heparin) AND 2.0 mL plasma from purple top EDTA (EDTA tube is a designated sample and cannot be used for other testing.)


Minimum Volume
1.0 mL plasma and 1 mL EDTA plasma


Other Acceptable Specimens
1.5 mL serum from SST or Red Top AND 2.0 mL plasma from purple top EDTA (EDTA tube is a designated sample and cannot be used for other testing.)


Instructions
Spin down and remove plasma from cells and serum from gel within 24 hours.
