4.0 mL whole blood collected in a K2 EDTA vaccutainer (lavender tube)


Patient Preparation
Must be older than 6 months of age.

Minimum Volume
In order to maintain correct blood/anticoagulant ratio, a minimum of 1.0 mL whole blood in a 4.0 mL tube or 1.5 mL in a 7.0 mL tube


Specimen Stability
Sample can be refrigerated (2 - 8oC) for up to 2 weeks.


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
