Diagnosis of neuromyelitis optica (NMO)
 
Distinguishing NMOSD, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), optic neuritis, and transverse myelitis from multiple sclerosis early in the course of disease

Prediction of a relapsing disease course
