Preferred Specimen
4 blue sodium citrate tubes


Instructions
Must be full draw tubes.  May only be collected at DOP, SOP, and WB Lab testing sites.
 


Transport Temperature
Room temperature until received at LGH or WBH laboratory.  Specimen should be centrifuged and plasma removed, frozen at -70 as soon as possible.


Specimen Stability
8 hours room temperture
1 month when frozen 


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
short draw tubes; hemolyzed
