Instructions
Place bronchial lavage specimen in a sterile container and transport to the lab as soon as possible.  Specimen should be labeled with 2 patient identifiers, source, date, time, and any other appropriate collection information.

Specimens should be tested with the FilmArray Pneumonia Panel as soon as possible.  If storage is required, specimens can be held refrigerated for up to 1 day.
