Clinical Significance
Ganglioside GD1a antibody IgM is associated with the presence of multifocal motor neuropathy, sometimes in association with IgM monoclonal gammopathy. Antibody testing can aid in the diagnosis of multifocal motor neuropathy or predominantly motor neuropathy.
