Male: Prostatic fluid, urethral/penile discharge, or urine

Minimum Volume
1 drop of vaginal fluid • 1 drop of prostatic fluid, urethral/penile discharge

Follow manufacturer's instructions using a swab or sterile transfer pipette to immediately inoculate an InPouch™ broth medium

Clinical Significance
Trichomonas vaginalis is not part of the normal flora of the genital tract and is considered a pathogen when detected. Its identification is important for the control and treatment of trichomoniasis.
