Instructions
Draw blood in an EDTA Vacutainer® tube. Mix thoroughly. Centrifuge at 3000 x g for 10 minutes at 4° C within 6 hours of draw. Remove the plasma and place into a 12 x 75mm Nichols tube. Store at -20° C or -70° C immediately and ship the plasma frozen.
Note: Cytokine levels may demonstrate diurnal variation. Recommend cytokine levels be determined at the same time of day for improved longitudinal comparison.
