Clinical Significance
This two-color combination of the proliferative marker Ki-67 and the melanoma marker MART-1 allows assessment of mitotic activity in melanocytic lesions. This can be helpful in differential diagnosis of atypical nevi as well as a prognostic factor in melanoma.
