Clinical Significance
Expression of the BOB.1/OBF.1 transcriptional coactivator
is restricted largely to B cells in the germinal centers
and to plasma cells but is overexpressed in many B-cell
lymphoma subtypes. It is most helpful in distinguishing
T-cell rich B-cell lymphoma (strongly positive) from
classical Hodgkin lymphoma (weak/negative), usually in
association with staining for other B-cell markers.
