Instructions
Containers with PVA preservative are available from the Client Supplies Department.
Place stool specimens in PVA within 1 hour of collection. Fluid level should reach line on vial. Mix specimen with the preservative.
Stool specimens are stable, if stored and transported at room temperature, until the expiration date printed on the vial. Do not freeze.
