Clinical Significance
PAX-2, a nuclear transcription factor, is expressed in most cases of renal cell carcinoma (approx 85%) and a significant number of Mullerian/ovarian serous carcinomas (approx 30%) but only rarely in metastatic tumors of other sites including breast, colon, endometrial, and omental sites.
