Draw blood in a green-top (lithium heparin) tube or purple-top
(EDTA) tube. Immediately spin specimen down, and send 0.5 mL
of plasma.

Serum
Draw blood in a plain, red-top tube. Immediately spin specimen
down, and send 0.5 mL of serum.
