Instructions
Centrifuge and immediately separate serum or plasma specimen from the cells into a clean transport tube. Do not use gel barrier/serum separator tube (SST®).

Toxic effects have been observed at levels as low as 2.0 mcg/mL.


Clinical Significance
Amiodarone is an antiarrythmic drug. Therapeutic drug monitoring is useful to monitor compliance and avoid toxicity.
