Instructions
Obtain specimen using 2 culturette swabs. Insert culturette into the vagina or swab the endocervix. Allow to remain in place for 1 minute. Remove swab and place the swab in sterile culturette and crush ampule to ensure specimen preservation. Repeat with second swab. Label specimen with patient's name (first and last), date and actual time of collection, and type of specimen. Specimen source is required on request form for processing.
