Instructions
Draw blood in a plain, red-top tube or a serum gel tube. Spin down within 2 hours of draw as prolonged contact with separator gel may affect results, and send 1 mL of serum in a polypropylene (not glass) vial.|Serum for a peak level should be drawn 30 minutes after completion of infusion of an intravenous dose or 60 minutes after an intramuscular or oral dose of gentamicin.|
