Instructions
Draw blood in a serum gel tube to assure that a minimum of 4 mL of whole blood is drawn. Allow blood to clot for 30 minutes. Centrifuge with stopper in place for 10 minutes at 2,000 rpm to ensure that the gel barrier separates the serum from cells. Keep specimen anaerobic (do not transfer). Specimen cannot be frozen. Specimen received in plastic vials will be rejected. Send in original tube. Do not remove stopper.
