Clinical Significance
The determination of allergen-specific IgE antibodies is a very sensitive first-order test for allergic disease. The presence of IgE antibodies to cranberry is highly predictive of the likelihood that the individual will exhibit immediate hypersensitivity upon exposure to the allergen.
