Clinical Significance
Glypican 3 (GPC3) is most commonly used in the differential diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) or hepatoblastoma, which overexpress GPC3, as opposed to cirrhotic liver or other non-neoplastic liver lesions. Embryonal germ cell tumor and Wilms tumor also overexpress glypican 3.
