1.5 mL serum SST or Red top tube
Instructions
SST or Red Top tube. Avoid hemolysis. Invert a minimum of 5 times, then allow to clot in an upright position for 30 minutes. Centrifuge the tube for at least 10 minutes. Keep tightly stopered

Clinical Significance
Identification of Treponema Pallidum antibodies may aid in the diagnosis of Syphilis. The TPPA test is designed to be used as an aid in the confirmaion of antibodies to the Treponemal organisms that cause Syphilis.
