Frozen = unacceptable


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Frozen specimen. Specimens in PVA or 10% formalin perservative.

Clinical Significance
Vibrio species are usually associated with infection when isolated. Infections caused by Vibrio species fall into three categories: intestinal, wound and systemic infections in persons with pre-existing diseases.
