Pinworm collection device (available from laboratory by calling Client Services Department at (937-297-8260 or 1-800-686-2252 option 1)).


Instructions
Press sticky side of paddle to perianal area in A.M. before bathing or defecation. Replace paddle in tube. Do NOT submit feces.

Clinical Significance
Diagnosis of pinworm infestation is based on the observation of typical thick walled, football shaped eggs. The eggs are usually deposited around the anus and are not commonly seen in feces.
