Patient Preparation
Avoid exposure to gadolinium or iodine based contrast media for 96 hours prior to sample collection.  Do not use disinfectants containing iodine, such as Betadine, during venipuncture.

Minimum Volume
0.7 mL

Royal Blue top tube (Trace metal-free; No additive)


Instructions
To flush the collection device for metal contaminates, draw a plain red top tube (no additive) first.  Promptly centrifuge and separate the serum/plasma into a deionized water rinsed plastic screw capped vial.
