24 Hour Urine Container without preservative
(aliquot or transfer urine into a transfer tube and note the total volume)


Minimum Volume
4mL aliquot


Other Acceptable Specimens
  • Urine preserved with Boric Acid will be accepted.
  • Urine treated with 6N HCL will be accepted.


Instructions
  • Mix the specimen well and measure the 24-hour volume
  • Record the total volume
  • Aliquot (pour off) 20 mL of urine into a separate plastic screw-cap container
  • Refrigerate if not tested immediately
