Clinical Significance
This is a required test for Syphilis screening for CDC immigration requirements.
Useful for syphilis screening in patients less than 1 year of age. For patients older than 1 year, clients are encouraged to follow the reverse algorithm and order Syphilis Screening (SYPHB). In cases of untreated, late, or latent Syphilis, the RPR result may be negative. Reactive RPR results will reflex to RPR Titer and Treponemal pallidum antibody confirmation.
