Centrifuge for complete separation of serum or plasma and red cells. Refrigerate until tested.

Reference Range
  • TSH 0.270 - 4.200 µIU/mL
  • FT4 0.55 - 1.60 ng/dL


Clinical Significance
TSH is used to evaluate thyroid function; abnormal levels may indicate hyper- or hypothyroidism. In conjunction with FT4 levels, can determine if the feedback loop is intact.
