Preserved urine: 2-8°C up to 2 days

Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)

The following conditions will result in a rejection:

Specimens allowed to sit at room temperature
Specimens which have not been properly collected
Specimens contaminated with feces or tissue

Report Available

No growth (negative) culture will be final between 20-24 hours from initial set up.

Positive culture will be final within 50 hours of initial set up.
