- Unpreserved urine: 2-8°C up to 24 hours
- Preserved urine: 2-8°C up to 2 days
Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
The following conditions will result in a rejection:
- Specimens allowed to sit at room temperature
- Specimens which have not been properly collected
- Specimens contaminated with feces or tissue

No growth (negative) culture will be final between 20-24 hours from initial set up.
Positive culture will be final within 50 hours of initial set up.
