24 Hour Urine Container without preservative
(aliquot or transfer urine into a transfer tube and note the total volume)


Minimum Volume
5 mL


Instructions
  • Mix the specimen well and measure the 24-Hour volume
  • RECORD THE TOTAL VOLUME
  • Pour off 20 mL of urine into a separate plastic screw-cap container
  • Refrigerate if not tested immediately
  • Sample will be acidified to a pH <2 with 6N HCL. Samples with urine pH below 1.5 may result in a negative bias.
