Instructions

Centrifuge for complete separation of serum and red cells within 2 hours.  Aliquot (transfer) serum in a transfer tube and refrigerate.

Male: 0.14 - 2.06 ng/mL

Non-pregnant Female in:

  • mid-follicular phase = 0.14 - 2.06 ng/mL
  • mid-luteal phase = 5.16 - 18.56 ng/mL
  • post-menopausal = <0.08 - 0.78 ng/mL

Pregnant Female in:

  • 1st trimester 4.73 - 50.74 ng/mL
  • 2nd trimester 19.41 - 45.30 ng/mL


Clinical Significance
Ovarian function test; establish the presence of a functioning corpus luteum or luteal cell function; confirm basal body temperature measurements for the occurrence of ovulation.
