Instructions
Separate from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Parallel testing is preferred and convalescent specimens must be received within 30 days from receipt of the acute specimens. Mark specimen plainly as "acute or convalescent." Submit patient history.
Note: Ask-at-Order-Entry questions must be answered. "Not Given" or "NG" answers are not acceptable. When the clinical patient data provided does not meet the minimum FDA qualifications for testing then testing will be cancelled.

Clinical Significance
Use for patients whose symptoms began, or whose documented exposure occurred, greater than or equal to 14 days prior to testing. Use as follow-up for patients with negative serum and urine results from molecular testing performed <14 days after symptom onset.
