Instructions
Specimens are collected in pharmacy and transported to the laboratory.  A Pharmacy Sterility QA Order Form for EACH test needs to be submitted.

Report Available
Culture status reported on days 3 and day 8, unless bacterial and/or fungal growth detected.


Reference Range
No bacterial or fungal growth in 8 days.


Clinical Significance
Positive cultures for bacterial or fungal growth are reported with enumeration of up to 50 CFU.
