Instructions
Plain red top tube, EDTA lavender top tube, Sodium heparin green top tube (no gel).  An early morning specimen is preferred.


Transport Container
Centrifuge plain red, lavender, or green top and aliquot 1 mL (Min: 0.25 mL) serum or plasma into a standard transport tube.


Transport Temperature
Refrigerated.


Specimen Stability
Ambient: 72 hours; Refrigerated: 28 days; Frozen: 2 years


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Samples collected in SST tubes. Gross hemolysis.
