Instructions
The only acceptable sources are indicated below:
For nasal swabs:
1. Insert a swab 1 cm into the anterior nares and gently rotate to obtain secretions.
2. Place in transport medium.
Swabs from neonate umbilicus, neonate axilla, or neonate rectal acceptable. Swabs from older individuals (> 2 weeks old) for these three sources are NOT acceptable.
