Instructions
Samples should be obtained between 15 minutes and 3 hours after the event suspected of causing mast cell activation. When sample is drawn, separate serum from cells within 3 hours of collection. Serum separator tube. Also acceptable: plain red.
Transport Container
Centrifuge the serum separator and centrifuge within 3 hours of collection and transport; if a plain red top tube, centrifuge within 3 hours of collection and aliquot 1 ml serum (Min. 0.5 mL) into a standard transport tube. Refrigerate SST/serum immediately after separation..
