Centrifuge the serum separator tube and transport; if a plain red top tube, centrifuge and aliquot serum (Min. 0.5 mL) into a standard transport tube.

Clinical Significance

Useful as a screening test for the detection of antibodies against granulocyte cytoplasm (ANCA).

Indications: Wegener's Granulomatosis, various forms of glomerulonephritis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease.
