Overnight fasting is required.

Lavender (EDTA) tube(s).


Transport Container
Centrifuge lavender top tube (s) and aliquot 2 mL plasma (Min: 0.5 mL) into a standard transport tube and freeze immediately. There should be no delay in freezing as the analyte is very unstable and samples must be kept frozen until testing.


Transport Temperature
Frozen (dry ice).


Specimen Stability
Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated: 2 hours; Frozen: 28 days


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Gross hemolysis.
