Instructions
Cytokine levels may demonstrate diurnal variation. Recommend cytokine levels be determined at the same time of day for improved longitudinal comparison. No biotin supplements 48 hours prior to blood draw.

 Serum separator tube or Plain red.


Transport Container
Centrifuge the serum separator or plain red tube and aliquot 1 mL serum into a standard transport tube. (Min: 0.5 mL)


Transport Temperature
Frozen.


Specimen Stability
After separation from cells: Ambient: 24 hours; Refrigerated: 48 hours; Frozen: 7 months


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Non-frozen specimens. Gross hemolysis.
