Peripheral Blood in a lavender top tube (EDTA) or Bone Marrow in a lavender top tube (EDTA). Also acceptable: Bone marrow aspirate or clot embedded in paraffin.
Transport Container
Submit 5 mL Blood (Min. 1 mL) or 2 mL Bone marrow (Min. 0.5 mL): Do not centrifuge. Paraffin embedded bone marrow aspirate or clot-submit in sterile biohazard plastic bag.
Transport Temperature
Blood or Bone Marrow: Refrigerated. Paraffin embedded BM/clot: Ambient or on ice pack in summer.
