Instructions
Lavender (EDTA) tube.

Collect a mid-morning blood sample after patient has been upright (sitting, standing, or walking) for a minimum of 2 hours, then have them sit 5-15 minutes prior to collection.


Transport Container
Centrifuge lavender top ASAP and transfer 0.8 mL (Min: 0.5 mL) plasma into a standard transport tube and freeze immediately.


Transport Temperature
Frozen.


Specimen Stability
Ambient: 24 hours; Refrigerated: 24 hours; Frozen: 28 days


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Plasma collected in plasma separator tube.
