Instructions
Serum separator tube (gold top preferred) or a plain red top tube. Also, collect a cerebrospinal fluid sample according to your institution's protocol.


Transport Container
Centrifuge the serum separator tube and transport; if a plain red top tube, centrifuge and aliquot serum (Min. 1 mL) into a standard transport tube. Submit CSF (Min. 1 mL) in a standard transport tube.


Transport Temperature
CSF and serum: Refrigerated.


Specimen Stability
Ambient: 8 hours; Refrigerated: 72 hours; Frozen: 2 weeks
