Serum separator tube or plain red tube.

Centrifuge serum separator tube and transport. If plain red, centrifuge and aliquot 2 mL serum (Min: 1 mL) into a standard transport tube.

Clinical Significance
Circulating antibodies to platelets, detected by Flow Cytometry, are found in the sera of patients with immune mediated disorders. Platelet antibodies have been associated with ITP and drug-induced thrombocytopenia.
