Limitations
This test was developed and its analytical performance characteristics have been determined by med fusion. It has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. This assay has been validated pursuant to the CLIA regulations and is used for clinical purposes.
Reference Range
See Laboratory Report.
Clinical Significance
Plasma Cell Myeloma (PCM) is characterized by the proliferation of malignant monoclonal plasma cells in the bone marrow. Hyperdiploidy with gains of odd numbered chromosomes, including 9, 11, and 15, has been associated with a more favorable outcome in myeloma patients.
Performing Laboratory
med fusion
