Ethyl Sulfate: Negative, <150 ng/mL


Clinical Significance
If the component result is below the cutoff, the result will be "Negative". If the component result is above cutoff, the quantitative result will be given. Resulting in this manner will occur regardless of adulteration test results, per clinical toxicology guidance. Regarding Ethyl Glucuronide (EtG) and Ethyl Sulfate (EtS) result interpretation, these are the reported comments:
1. EtG and EtS are both Negative: Recent alcohol consumption not likely
2. EtG or EtS is Positive and the other is Negative: Suggests but does not confirm recent alcohol consumption
3. EtG and EtS are both Positive: Consistent with recent alcohol consumption.
