Transport Temperature
Refrigerated or Ambient 2°C - 30°C


Specimen Stability
Swabs: Stable at 2°C- 30°C. Stable for 60 days.
Urines: Urines must be transferred into a urine collection device within 24 hours. Once in Aptima urine collection device, sample is stable at 2°
-30°C for up to 30 days.


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Any swab other than Aptima. No wooden handled swabs or calcium alginate swabs.
