Preferred Specimen
 Serum/ Plasma: One 4.5 ml light green, gold, or red top tube


Minimum Volume
Serum/ Plasma:  1.0 mL of either serum or plasma


Instructions
Please complete the WVU CHP request form and send with the sample. The serum and plasma must be frozen on dry ice when shipped to UPMC. For additional information please see the Specimen Processing Job Aid- "STAT Testing to UPMC"


Transport Temperature
Frozen - Must be frozen on dry ice when shipped to UPMC.
